The icemaker makes good ice for about 3 to 4 cycles. It then has an operation without putting any water in the reservoir, but the compressor kicks on and it goes into a freeze mode. The evaporator gets very cold, usually the water line then freezes and it tries to have a normal cycle after that but not much water gets into the reservoir. In addition when the ice is being made for about the last 2 minutes of the cycle, the water level gets so low the pump draws air into the line

My ice maker quit working. The red eye on the control panel does not come on at all. Does this mean I need a new emitter board or what is the problem?

There is 12 vac at the pin connector of the pump when it should be recirculating. That voltage goes away when I plug in the pump. Everything else works,The water reservoir fills, the evaporator gets cold, and heats on the harvest cycle. I've replaced the pump and the control board.

I have a Kitchenaid cabinet icemaker Mod KUIS18NNTS1. It quit making ice suddenly. The recirculating pump is not working. And there is only about 2 vac at the pin connector of the pump when it should be recirculating. Everything else works,The water reservoir fills, the evaporator gets cold, and heats on the harvest cycle. Am I looking at a new control board? or is there something else that could be causing the pump not to com on. Jim

When I ran diagnostics on my ice maker the optic control board was working fine and the ice maker needed to be replaced. I installed the new ice maker per instructions after I got it from appliance parts pros, and now the optic control board all the sudden shows deffective. Did I do something wrong? It was working ok before I replaced the ice maker.
