My ice maker makes sheets of ice but the cutting grid doesn't get hot enough to cut the ice. I removed the cutting grid, cleaned it of any residue and also ran cleaner through the cycle but it still doesn't cut the ice. Any suggestions of what could be the issue would be appreciated. Answer Hello Scott. If the heater is good, the it sounds like the transformer 2310139 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit.

Ice maker stopped making ice all of a sudden after working fine for 4 years. I replaced ice maker assembly module and still no ice. No water filling ice tray and no movement of ice tray assembly. The ice maker control knob on right side of freezer is on and red light is blinking. Water flows well through water dispenser. How do I know if ice maker control is working? Should the red light be blinking? It still blinks when I turn to off position. It blinks twice, then pauses and then blinks twice again when in on position.I have control panel on fast ice and fast cool. I live in Florida and there has been high humidity lately and water condensing on doors. Thanks, Scott.

Answer Hello Scott, When you shut the icemaker control off and it continues to blink this means that the emitter board 4389102 is defective and needs to be replaced. You would also want to check door seals if you are getting a lot of condensation on the doors.

This unit has an auxillary drain pump. When the unit is turned on, the water valve opens and over fills the water pan, then the water shuts off, the recirc pump starts and pumps for one minute then shuts off. The pan drain pump starts and pumps the water out in to the auxillary pump. The water valve opens and starts the process all over again. It just keeps going through the same process. I have also noticed when the auxillary drain pump starts, the interior light and the on/off light goes off for a second. Sometimes the auxillary pump never shuts off. I have replaced the water level sensor, bin and evaporator thermistor. Now I am beginning to think it is the control board.

Answer Hello Bobby, Based on the information provided it appears that your auxilliary pump 1901A is bad and needs to be replaced. The unit power is routed through the pump and into the unit. The pump is causing surging and the unit to restart.
