I was heating a x-large pan and melted part of the control panel plastic. Now it doesn't heat to the set temp. I haven't had any codes show up, If I replace the control panel will that fix my problem? Thanks
Answer Jack, Based on your post information, Yes, the ERC / Control W10162787 , would be the best place to start. If you melted the mylar panel, there's no telling what circuits were effected on the control. Good Luck and Thanks
I replaced the control panel, and everything seemed normal until I tried to heat the oven. An F3 fault code came up. What does that mean? Thanks again for your help.
Answer Hello Sherry! An F3 failure code indicates a shorted or open oven temp sensor. You will need to check the sensor harness and harness connection between oven sensor and oven control. Replace the oven temp sensor if the wiring is ok. The temp sensor is part number 12001655. Thanks!
