Whirlpool Duet Electric dryer won't start. Fault code F31. I followed troubleshooting guide and found thermal fuse blown, replaced, cleaned machine no obstructions or severe lint build up. The duct is clean, too. Ran for 2-3 minutes and stopped again. Now I have code F23 and F31, thermal fuse is blown again. Any advise?

I have a Maytag 3000 Series Dryer that just stopped working, it gets power but will not turn on. All lights and sounds were working even clock counting down etc BUT I ordered Part Number AP4373582 (W10174745) from AppliancePartsPro.com,Inc. and switched out the Electric Control Board exactly the way it was on the old board (except on the right side of board is configured a little differently) after the switch I plugged the dryer back in and turned on but now no lights on and flashes F70 grrrr have no idea what to do now please advise. So I did order the thermal fuse just to try. Any Suggestions??? Please & Thank You Also checked lint screen. Lint was built up at the end of outdoor exhaust completely cleaned that out and also indoor vent and inside dryer etc. Because I had noticed a few days before the dryer stopped working that when I used the touch up selection which is a 15 min cycle it got really HOT more than normal not sure if any of these things are the reason for problem but again please advise ASAP. Thanks Again!!

Maytag dryer model number MEDE300VW0. Keeps blowing the thermal fuse. If I replace the thermal fuse it will run for a few minutes and then shut off. I replaced the Heating element, and kit 280148 (The fuses on the side of the element enclosure) as well as the thermistor, and blown thermal fuse again. Yet it keeps blowing. Have cleaned all duct work, and done the diagnostics. The motor and heater will not run, I feel due to the once again blown thermal fuse. It is giving a code of f25 in diagnostic mode only. When not in diagnostic mode it acts as if it is running counts down the minutes remaining but does not tumble, the motor doesn't run, and the heat is not on. I feel there are 2 things left to try: The Motor & the Machine Control Electronics. I have already spent over $100 replacing the items listed above & hate to spend money on something I do not need AGAIN. Is this most likely the motor or the MCE??? Thanks for your help

Latest Questions

I am replacing a W10182366 board on a Whiripool duet dryer and the new board, W10174745. It appears the hold board had some wires hard wired and the new board requires a plug. Am I missing something?

The moisture sensor cycle stops before the clothes are dry. Timed cycle drys the clothes properly. Cleaned the vents and ducts. Plenty of heat, plenty of airflow. Ran diagnostics and sensor strips passed the test. Measured resistance across the contacts of the cable that includes the two MOVs and it was infinity. Measured resistance between outer contacts and ground and it was infinity. Does all this point to replacing the machine control electronics? Thanks for your help.

Did a diagnostic and got a code f30. Checked all outlets and did not see any restrictions.
