Dryer overheating. Have diagnosed to a likely stuck relay on the control board. Trying to disconnect the various wiring connectors on the control board. The 2 power wires attached to a high power relay won't come off the board. There does not appear to be any locking mechanism on the connector, but I cannot remove the connector. Any tips to remove these? Any hidden locking mechanism that I am missing?

In the technician troubleshooting mode error code f31 appears. No error code is shown when in normal operation. Power comes to display but when you push start a delayed click sound is made and nothing happens. I have checked the circut breaker and it is fine. The dryer was half way thru a cycle when it quit. The manual says this is slow voltage issue but I find it hard to believe my power cord that is 4 years old went bad. I am leaning towards the control panel.

I was getting a ERROR message on Dryer that said F70. This dryer was bought in 2011, Should Maytag Dryers Last longer? We had the matching Washer and it got to expensive to fix. Anyway back to the dryer the manual said there was no communication between the electronic assemblies. I checked the harness connections on both assemblies and they looked ok. How can I tell if the parts need to be replaced? The manual suggested replacing them both but the parts alone are very expensive. The part numbers are W10174746 (which possible could be the bad one) the other part W10246787. Thanks and any help you can provide would be great.

Dryer makes a loud hum when start is activated but won't start turning. I can manually start turning the tub and it takes off and runs fine. It just won't start on it's own. I think it's the dryer control board p/n w1017476. Can you tell me if there is a start capacitor on this board and if that's the defective part on the board. Thanks

Dryer tripped panel breaker a couple times mid cycle, would resume running after clearing PF code, but after this occurred on a couple loads it would not power up after resetting the breaker. Breaker ok, thermal fuse tested with zero resistance, other thermal switches tested per tech guide and they tested ok. Electric control board? What do you think?
