Control board W10218837 and touch panel were replaced under extended warranty two months ago because it wouldn't start. Now it started by itself with no display. Only lights lit are washing, auto clean and high temp wash. start/cancel button doesn't stop it. Unplugging and re plugging it doesn't stop it. All the lights went out after one hour. No buttons work. Does this sound like the control board again? Price charged to Maytag extended warranty company is $92.06. Does this sound like they used a reconditioned board?

Answer Jonathan, The condition of the parts, is the least of the issues. The part manufacturer warranty, applies the same to new and reconditioned parts. There are several checks the servicer needs to make when he returns, check to power supply to the dishwasher, it must be polarized and grounded. Check the water temperature, not too hot (120 dgrs.F. on the first fill) Check the detergent cuo assembly for proper fit and seal. Check and make sure the vent exhaust tunnel is tight against the control panel (they may need to add an additional seal). And check the door seal(especially the top) for condensation, air leaks.
