Microwave starts for approxamately 2 seconds then shuts down. I looked at back of control panel and its seems like a relay is chattering and then it shuts down.

Hello, Our microwave is over the stove and I believe steam is the cause of my problem. The unit has started randomly beeping showing the power levels. We can use the unit to do heating, but pressing any of the special keys - popcorn, baked potato, dinner plate - results in a F3H code on the display. When off it can sit for days and then suddenly start it's beeping. Think it is an issue in the control assembly, but not sure if I need a membrane (AP3775860) or the Control Panel (AP4371505). Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. thanks

Latest Questions

I recently replaced the control board on my microwave to correct a problem with it going through the power levels and beeping. It worked OK for a few days and now it wants to make a humming noise and indicating a F6 code. I have to turn the circuit breaker off now to stop it. Do I need a new control panel?

Our Whirlpool microwave goes through the power levels while beeping. It also has an F2 code. Do I need the touchpad and control board or just the board? Thanks.
