Unit stopped working and still had water in bottom. No led lights working, tested power to unit tested power to door switch. Looks looks like there is no power to the door switch. What is wrong?
The first thing that you will want to check is the thermal fuse to make sure that it is not blown. If the thermal fuse is blown then you will need to replace the fuse. Also check to make sure that the heater terminals look good.
The start button does nothing. All others light. I've checked the thermal fuse and the door switch and they seem ok. Is the board bad?
Answer Hello Chris,
The first thing you should do is open the door liner to access the control, unplug the ribbon cable, and rub the end of the cable with a pencil eraser only toward the end of the cable to prevent damage to it. This is the best way to clean it. Reinsert it and re-try the unit. If the same issue exists, replace the control board (AP4588346).
