I need to change part #12 (the user interface board, one of the control panel parts) but I do not know how to separate part 1 and part 15. I don't see screws anywhere and I don't want to force it to mess up the panel. Any idea where to start first?
Answer Hello Audrey. You will need to remove the dispenser drawer and the screws behind the dispenser drawer. Then the control panel unsnaps from the bracket. There are tabs on the top and the side of the control panel that needs to be unsnaped to remove it. Hope this helps.
Is there instruction on how to replace the interface board (AP4538150)?
Answer Hello Audrey. You will need to disconnect the power to the unit. Then remove the screws at the back of the top panel on the washer. Once the screws are removed, the top panel will slide off torward the back of the machine, and lift off. Then remove the dispenser drawer and any screws behind the dispenser. Then you will need to remove the trim in the center of the control panel. To do this you will need to unsnap the trim starting with the middle top of the control panel, and working your way down under the door. Once removed, you will be able to remove the control panel, by unsnapping it from the bracket. Then unplug the wires going to the control board. You can now access the user interface to replace it. Reinstall in reverse order. Hope this helps.
