Problem with washer began with slow drain alarm. It worked intermittently but I do not think there is a clog/faulty pump. it works great when it wants to. Noticed the time remaining display would be counting down and then jump back up. Seems to keep filling with water over and over and then it will turn but I don't think it is agitating. Washer is only 3.5 years old. Sensor of some sort? Board gone screwy?
Answer Hello Mike,
This sounds like the control is sensing excessive suds. This is a common problem and if the detergent used in the machine is not high efficiency/low suds, this will occur. It will also occur if too much detergent is used. Be aware that even if the pump is operating, it can still have an issue such as debris almost clogging the drain line and/or an impeller that has missing vanes or is separating from the drain pump shaft.
