This Cabrio washer locks the lid, then just sits and clicks for 10 or more minutes, stays on sensing for 20 minutes, off and on clicking noises, eventually it adds water, sits a while, pumps it out, never agitates or spins, and takes over 2-3 hours to get through it's cycle. Would this be the main control board? Thanks, Steve

I have a Whirlpool Cabrio WTW5500XW. I go to start the washer and it locks then a moment later it unlocks. 2 minutes later it locks again and the lid lock button blinks red. 5 minutes later it unlocks while still being in the sensing stage (green). After waiting another 5-7 minutes I hear water finally flowing into the washer. It goes through all the stages Sensing - Spin - Rinse - Done while being in the unlock position. It doesn't appear to be spinning either. The washer isn't staying lock, it's not spinning the clothes, and it's taking longer to get started.

I setup the washer for drain and spin cycle close the the lid and push the start button, the sense light come on then spin light come and finally the lid locked light come on then the lid locked light start blinking and the washer doesn't do anything. Do I have a bad lid switch given the chain of events?

Latest Questions

Hello. Is this the electronic control that controls all of the basic functions of the washer? My washer seems to have a mind of it's own. Sometimes the washer will fill with water and sit for an hour sensing the load. Sometimes on certain settings the washer runs fine but on other settings it won't. I never know what to expect.

I purchased this washer for my mother in law and shipped it to the Dominican Republic. Before the year warranty gave out the machine stopped working, she could not find a local Whirlpool dealer to honor the warranty, and , according to the repairman, it needs a new control panel. I want to make sure I'm purchasing the right part, the name and numbers identifying the part read as follow: C2000 Hila-U, 10298660-REUB, 10253361. Made in China. Can you help me identify the right part and posssibly a dealer in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Machine was purchased from PC Richards on 11/27/2010. Thank you for your assistance.
