With door open I plug in the machine and close the door. It locks but nothing else happens and the machine must be unplugged and plugged in again to release latch. If door is closed and the machine is plugged in the unit does nothing but hum. The cancel button does nothing.
Answer Hello Tom,
While this sounds like a pressure switch or control issue, you should run the diagnostic tests described in the tech sheet. This will help pinpoint the issue by directing you to the circuit/s that can be the cause of the problem. If the unit will not go into diagnostics the manufacturer considers the control to be defective. Raising the main top with a putty knife will enable you to pull the tech sheet from the plastic ziplock bag affixed to the inside of the front panel.
Washer does not agitate during rinse cycle, just fills drum with water and immediately pumps out. Results are white detergent stains on dark clothes. Wondering if its bad timer or something else? Also would running a diagnostic give an indication of the failure? Thank you
Answer Hello Edward,
The first thing I always do is to run the diagnostics to see if there are any failure codes stored in the microprocessor. This is normally the best indication of where to start in the diagnosis. The tech sheet is located in a plastic zip lock baggy on the inside of the front panel. This covers the diagnostic mode and tells you how to interpret any codes stored.
