Most Interesting

Lately after the wash cycle is finished and the timer is on off. There is a pool of water still in the recessed area where the screen is. Its about 2" deep and can only be noticed if you really look or put your hand in to pick out any debris left behind. Now if I turn the selector dial by hand to the position where it drains the water out after the pre wash rinse , it will pump the water out and it stays out. This kind of removes any question in my mind about the check ball being dirty or hanging up and we do not have an air gap installed in between the drain hose and the garbage disposal. Got any solutions???? Earlier in the year we also had heard some strange noise coming from the pump impeller which I just wrote up to noise that some glass fragments might have gotten into the impeller because I found some chips stuck in the screen and removed. Thanks lots guys, Kep

Our Whirlpool DU811SWKU0 has again determined it will not pump down, at all. The local appliance guy has restored the collector / check valve X2 with positive results lasting about 9 months per visit. I pulled the unit and opened the collector to find a black ring gasket loose against the screen at the top of the collector. The parts diagram indicates this part belongs in this area, however it likely is in the wrong position. What recomendation could you present?
