How do I remove the ice maker? It seems to be held in by something. Where is the retainer, it jiggles, is loose but will not come out

My Kitchen Aid Icemaker has stopped ejecting the ice. There is ice in the bottom. We have removed the unit to thaw. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Ice maker not working. Water is not flowing into ice mold. Took hair dryer to black tube and attempted to poke ice out (nothing). I poured water in ice mold expecting that it would eject the ice into bin and that didn't work either. Ice control lights blink twice when door open. When I close the flap the light remains solid red.

I ordered the replacement ice maker for Kitchenaid Refrig. and installation worked perfectly and producing ice but this is supposed to be an 8 cube icemaker and it's only making approx. 4 to 5 cubes each time. Took it off again to see if something in a bind causing it to not fill up the tray. Couldn't see anything...even loosed the screw attaching to the tray on the right side to see if it was causing it to be out of level. Can't figure the problem out. Do you have any suggestions?

I just replaced the ice maker. I connected the wiring harness. The water line is clear. Still not ice.

Ice Maker is making and ejecting ice. However, the cubes are slightly smaller than they should be AND there is ice building up on the shelf below. I have removed icicles from the bottom of the tray on which the ice maker sits as well. Most of the time I see water is leaking from the tray mounting screw on the right front of the ice maker tray. But it has leaked on the left side as well. Frequently the smaller cubes get jammed in the fingers and stalls the process. After letting it "rest" for a few minutes once the jam if removed it produces ice and icicles! The fill time is in the 7 to 8 second range that I believe is correct. Thanks
