How do I remove the ice maker? It seems to be held in by something. Where is the retainer, it jiggles, is loose but will not come out
Jpsedlock
Answer There is a screw under the bottom on the right back corner, that will need to be removed. Once removed there are locking tabs on each side that will need to be released. Once released the icemaker will slide forward.

My Kitchen Aid Icemaker has stopped ejecting the ice. There is ice in the bottom. We have removed the unit to thaw. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Answer Hello Steve, from your description you will need to replace the icemaker. If you found this icemaker with your model number then this will be the correct replacement. Thanks
