Answer Hello Roger, The wiring should be as such, red wire goes to the white overload and the white wire to the relay. If there are 2 terminals on the relay put the white wire on the right side as you look at it as it is to be installed.

Answer Hello Paul, The most likely victim of the flood is the start device 8201799. Of course, any electrical component submerged in water, (especially salt water), is susceptible to failure and should not be connected to the power supply and left unattended. I would suggest, if the flooding is a normal occurrence, to either unplug the unit to eliminate a fire hazard or stack a couple of pallets and put it up on them if this will get the unit above the flood level.

Answer Hello John, It is not recommended to plug unit into a GFCI. Try plugging into an outlet that is not GFCI and see if it operates. If not then you will want to do an amp draw on the red wire that goes to start relay. Amp draw should be no higher than 8.5amps. If you are drawing higher than that then your compressor would be causing the overload.
