Hi, our fridge is Whirlpool ED26SSXL, we bought in the mid-late 1980's. It conked out a few weeks ago. We had 2 repair services already look at it and they both said it was the compressor. It is locking out, I think. I don't have the compressor part# in front of me, but it has a label as "FSP" part# (whirlpool factory service part?). I've combed the internet and find there are 2 other variants of this fridge, namely ED26SSXLWR0 and ED26SSXLWR1. Are these the same machines and will this compressor work on ours (i.e. ED26SSXL)? Can you also find out the BTU rating of ED26SSXL? Thanks.
