FRIDGE NOR FREEZER WILL COOL ANYMORE
Answer Doug, a couple of things you need to look for, Is there frost or ice built up on the back wall of the freezer compartment ? Can you hear the compressor start and run, or is there a "click" noise when it attempts to start ? Have you checked and cleaneed the condenser coil, front kickplate grille ? If all's OK, you most likely have an issue with the ADC board W10366604 in the control panel. Thanks.
The refrigerator is getting quite cold and close to freezing carrots, etc.. However, the setting is curently on #2. I just removed the cardboard motor cover to clean and noticed that the condensor motor did not spin freely. If you spun it with your finger it would spin like it was out of round and stop in the same spot each time. Could this be the problem? Either way, should I replace the motor?
Answer Hello Doug. You will need to test the thermistor 2188819 and see if it is bad. The thermistor regulates the temperature inside the refrigerator. As far as the motor, if it is not running, you will need to replace it. If the condensor fan does not run, the compressor can overheat and quit working. Here is a chart to go by. Thermistor
0°F....................86,300 ohms You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DM1. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
