My Repair & Advice
After reading others' reviews, I determined that I needed to order a new console. (It's a shame that you have to order this huge piece just for the START button, but it's a fact. On mine, the plastic piece was broken that connects it to the panel and allows it to make contact with the circuit board. You could try gluing it back, but from past experience - it won't hold up for long.)
The product arrived the next day! I contacted a customer rep to locate a video on how to replace the console, only to discover there was none available. While on hold, I removed the old console and began the repair myself. When the rep came back on the line, she lent her 'moral support' to help me replace the part without a video! It was actually pretty easy, and only took about 10-15 minutes from start to end.
Before repairing, unplug your dryer! Remove the dial on the front of the console and set aside. There are 2 screws in the back of the console, when removed you can lift off the console. You'll then to remove 3 more screws on the back of the control panel cover. Once the panel is removed, you need to pry the control panel loose from the old console. (I had to wedge a flat-head screwdriver where it was attached and apply light pressure to pop it loose.) Unplug the control panel from the old console and plug into the new one, pop it in place, replace cover on control panel, replace screws, place console on top of dryer, replace console screws and dial.
