Hi, thanks for your prior answer, i bought a new board on searspartsdirect.com, it looks the same than this one, when i installed it looks everything ok the first 4 days, but i noticed some ice, not the same as before but its working, i think its too much and the flow will be block soon, my question is, could you help me with hooking up the control board?, i mean the right matching cables colors to connect to the marks on the board, what colors goes on the C D K L1 T R F L2, i think there is something wrong on it. And the 2nd question is: When i pressed the door button 4 times, the defrosting cycle it´s ok, on 30 mins the compressor starts again so, How much time has the board progammed on it to make the defrost cycling? How often it happens? i notice the heater had been replaced with a different one with other shape, this could change the heater way working? Thanks for your help.
Answer Hello Alex. Sorry, since there is no replacement recommended by the manufacture, we can not help you connect the wires to the correct location. The board you ordered is not made for the unit and will not work properly in the unit.
Coil frosting and not going into defrost. Tried the refer door switch 4 times, but comp staying on and no defrost?
Answer Hello Paul. It sounds like you may have a defrost problem with the unit. Check and see if there is any frost build up on the back wall of the freezer. If so, you will need to test the defrost heater and the defrost thermostat. They should read closed for continuity when cold. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. I will include a link at the end to assist you how to use the multi-meter if needed. If both parts are good, you will need to replace the defrost timer. Once the problem is repaired, you will need to thaw out the ice on the coils before the unit will operate properly. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
