My old Maytag stackable washer/dryer will not go past the spin cycle. It will start the cycle for 10-30 seconds and then beep, beep, beep. I -think- the moment the washer begins to spin hard is when it stops and beeps. A buddy came over with a multimeter and said it was a bad control assembly. I'm not sure if he's correct or not. Does anyone have any ideas or experience in this? Thanks.

My Maytag SG1000 washer is constantly going to the "pause" light indicator. It was working fine and now it won't engage the wash cycles (if I hit the "pause/resume" tab 100 times, sometimes it will work). I managed to get a load of clothing going (after hitting the "pause/resume" over and over) and it stopped working at the spin cycle. I got the individual "spin" tab to start this cycle again but, it stops half way through and goes to the "pause/resume" light/tab. I think the control board may be malfunctioning. Matt

Latest Questions

When I push the "regular" cycle wash indicator light the water does not begin filling the tub. All the other lights are on and the "L" appears. When I push the "Pause/Resume" indicator light the "L' turns to "10" for a second or two and then goes back to "L". Is this an electrical problem or a pump problem? When I push the "regular" dryer indicator light it flashes and shows "E2". I close the dryer door and the indicator lights keeps flashing and nothing else happens. Is this related to the problem with the washer?

Great washer/dryer combination unit. Contractor came in and put new tile on kitchen floor and moved unit, leaned it on side. When it was hooked back up the washer would not fill with water. Contractor claimed to fix it. Now the washer will fill with water but not drain. Dryer works fine. Called Appliance Repair and they said the control panel needed to be replaced. They said the part is no longer available so buy a new unit! Does anyone know if this part is what needs to be replaced? Thanks so much!!!
