Press ANY selection button and that light comes on but the machine won't start up.
Answer Earl, It shouldn't be the door switches, the display lights up, the machine doesn't have any thermal fuses or safety fuses, except for the heater element, so that pretty much puts the problem in the control board 99002829.
Different cycle lights light up when I push normal wash, like power wash and sanitary cycle, without being pushed. Is it the control panel gone bad?
Some cycles will illuminate when you hit the normal wash but normally it stores the selection and you would select the ones that you want. If the last cycle was set to run with power wash and sanitize then it will remember that and will highlight those and you would need to deselect them. This is especially true when it comes to new products as they may light up. If you cannot deselect them then the issue would be in the control panel and it would need to be replaced.
This is a jenn-air dishwasher that will not turn on. How do I know if
it is the door switch or the control assembly? Thank you
Answer Hello Bill. You can test the switches on the door switch 99002207 to see if there are good. You will need a multi-meter TJMA-DM1 to do this. The switch should close for continuity when the switch is pressed. Hope this helps.
