I have a duet washer that I keep getting a F02 error code. I have checked drain hose, replaced pump. I had a repairman check unit and he suggested replacing motor control unit. The error occurs just prior to spin cycle.

Answer Charles, With checking the pump and the drain hose, since they are clear and you have a new pump, you would want to check to make sure that the wire connections are not bad. If they check ok then the control board would be the most likely cause.

Keep getting error code f28. Can't get anyone to tell me what it means or how to fix it. If you can help me with this code I would greatly appreciated it thank you

Answer Mark, The F28 error code indicates a serial communication error between the Central Control unit (CCU) and Motor Control Unit (MCU). Possible causes and procedure, Unplug washer or disconnect power. Check the wire harness connections to the MCU, the motor, and the CCU. Check connections of the CCU board within the housing. Make sure that all grounding switches are engaged. Check the drive system for any worn or failed components. Plug in the washer or reconnect power. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic test or any cycle. Check the MCU by looking for operations of the drive motor. Check the drive motor for powered rotations and check that the serial harness at the MCU is not mounted upside down. The wires should be to the left when facing the MCU connectors. Look for corrosion on the wires and clean with alcohol where necessary.

My Duet Whirlpool washer stops half way through almost every cycle with an F02 code. If I hit stop and start real quick the cycle will most of the time keep going and finish without a problem (other times it resets the cycle but then, still finished without issue). Very annoying. I put it into diagnostic mode and it gave an F-02 in part 6 of the cycle (expected), but then I ran it a couple more times and it worked fine. Checked for cloggs in the drain pipe and drain filter. Checked for 15 ohms on drain pump and it was replaced about 1 or 2 years ago for this same issue. Could this be a bad CCU? Does this go bad often? I would hate to spend $200+ if this is not the fix. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!! JZ

Answer JZ, Make sure that you also check the pressure hose to make sure that it is not clogged and check the hose coming off the bottom of the tub to make sure that it is not clogged. If either are clogged it could cause longer drain. If these check ok then you would want to replace the pump 280187.

I get cold water at start of fill cycle then when it adds water during wash cycle it adds hot water only , no matter what temp. you have set for the wash cycle?? Used to fill with cold on a cold setting and hot on a hot or warm wash setting . Now I get hot no matter what setting. Hoses and supply lines are good as well as screens and inlet valve. I do get cold on the rinse settings . If I shut off hot water supply so That only cold can get it in , it will hum at the dispenser like it is trying to add hot water during the wash cycle. IT does this on any wash setting. Bad inlet valve or ccu ??

Answer Hello Chuck, You will want to check the thermistor. At the control board with unit unplugged at room temperature you will want to do a resistance check of the thermistor. here are the resistance readings that you should have: Temp. Results 32°F / 0°C/ 35.9K O 86°F / 30°C/ 9.K O 104°F / 40°C/ 6.6K O 122°F / 50°C/ 4.6K O 140°F / 60°C/ 3.2K O 158°F / 71°C/ 2.3K O 203°F / 96°C/ 1K O If you are outside of these ranges then you would need to replace the thermistor W10467289.

Machine will add cold water to start load cycle then as it needs to add water it will only add hot water even if the load controls are set for cold wash and cold rinse. If you shut off the hot water supply it will not add any water at all. I have pulled water supply lines loose and checked for obstructions at the fill valve screens and hoses. All is open and free flowing there, would the dual fill valve be bad possibly only on the cold water side? The only way we get any cold water in the machine after initial cold water fill on any load setting is to set machine to rinse and spin only. Showed an error code one time of HF before pulling hoses and cleaning screens and have'nt had that show since, but still not getting cold water added to any wash cycle?

Answer Hello Chuck, You would want to check the water temperature sensor to make sure that it is good. If the temperature sensor checks ok then you would want to check the wiring to CCU and to valve. Here are the value and how to check temperature sensor. Water Temperature Sensor Disconnect the wire harness from the water temperature sensor and measure the resistance of the sensor. Use the following table. An abnormal condition is an open circuit. Temp. Answer Hello Joe. You need to check for a stuck button. If none is found, then you will need to replace the user interface 8181905 on the unit.
