I have a Model RBD305PDB12 whirlpool double wall oven. I got some error coded and you helped me to identify that I needed a new control board. However the control board is not available so I had to take mine out and send it to a remanufacturer. I got it back and replaced it. But when I reset the breaker I received a new error code F1 E2 I looked on the tech sheet you sent me and found out that the key pad was not attached. I attached the keypad the display now shows the time and three of the buttons work but none other. What do I do now?

My Whirlpool BI double oven stopped working. I reset the circuit breaker a couple times and was able to get it working for a while but now doesn't seem to work at all. The digital clock and control panel indicators do not light up at all. On a couple of occasions I've seen the E6 F2 code but after a while it goes out. Checking your online parts list I see that the electronic control board is no longer available. The Control panel with membrane touch pad is available. With what I'm experiencing is it possible a new Control panel with membrane touch pad would fix the problem, or is this more likely the electronic control board?

Latest Questions

I recently replaced the control panel for my Whirlpool double wall oven. Now the entire display is dark/no error codes. After some internet research, I wonder if I also need a control board. It seems the part is no longer available? Is there another control board that would fit? How hard is it to replace?

I have a built-in Whirlpool double accubake electric oven that is malfunctioning. Mdl# GBD277PDB7, Serial# XM0603287. It was installed in 2002. It had a self-cleaning incident a few years later, but it was fixed by an authorized repairman. We never utilized the self-clean feature from that point on. Some time later though the control display would begin intermittently going blank for a few days, then come back on. However, for the last few years, it functioned with no trouble. This past season after my wife finished an extensive array of Xmas cookies, the display panel became totally blank. The control board thermal fuse had gone bad—no continuity—, I personally replaced it and hoped it would function correctly. Although the control readouts now seemingly display correctly, the clock works fine, and the top oven turns on with all the readouts visible and the temperature can be adjusted, it will not turn off except by tripping the circuit breaker. Plus the lower oven will not turn on at all. When pressing the lower oven keypad, the upper oven turns on instead. I understand that the control board is no longer available, so I will be sending it out to be repaired, but I’m now concerned because the last time the oven was on, there was moisture developing on the keypad face above the upper oven vent. Could that have caused the control panel malfunction and its thermal fuse to break, or is a control board malfunction that affected the cooling fan?
