Just installed a new control board (clock assy.) on this range, p/n 8523665. Original p/n was 8522442. After doing so the new board functions properly except that when the unit is off there is either a code or message of Loc in the area where the oven temp reads while on. It is not for control lock or door lock as these all function properly and are displayed in other areas of the display. Thank you Hope you can help. Mark

I'm trying to replace the bad control board (8523665) in my Kenmore oven. How do you get the old one out? Do you have to release the metal wire clips somehow? How do you do that?

Trouble with display showing E1 F2 error code. The oven and everything else commanded by the control board will not work . I can hit the stop button and all functions will return to normal but only for a couple of minutes. Then, the error code would come on again, disabling the oven section, clock and timer. Note that the cooktop will work fine since it is independent from the control board and membrane switch. I figured I needed a new membrane switch, based from info found online and from the instructions that came with the range. So I received the new membrane, installed it and the error code was gone but the membrane switch would not send any command at all. I mean that none of the keys would actually work. So I asked for a replacement membrane switch to rule out the possibility of a faulty new membrane switch. The second membrane switch came but it did the same as the first one received. Any clue on what is happening here will be appreciated. Thanks
