I am replacing a display control board on a Kitchen Aid range model KGRT607HWH9 (replacement board AP3176181). This oven has convection capability. The old display board on connector P3 has pins 1 and 5 jumpered and the replacement board does not come with a jumper connector. Is this the correct jumper configuration for the new board with the range model I have? As I understand it, the jumper configuration determines the handshaking between the display board controls and the micro controller, in essence telling the micro controller the range size and configuration. Could you kindly provide the jumper configuration for the P3 connector on replacement board AP3176181, which is equivalent to the mfg. part number 9782455? As I understand it, if the correct jumper configuration is not used it will generate an F1:E3 error. Thanks

The beeper that tells when the temperature is reached or beeping on any other operation does not work. The stove works ok. Only the beeper does not work. What part would I need to get the beeper to work?

Display is showing an error where the time display is: F2:E1 . What does this mean. Disconnected the power, when reconnected the lock would appear for 30 sec then the error would come up.No response from any of the buttons.

Latest Questions

I have ordered the Console 9782419CB and it's ribbon cable does not fit into the redesigned Clock/Display board 9782455 behind it. Due to the ribbon cable ending in a "T" fashion, this sort of ribbon cable goes into a central accepting lock down clip. The redesigned 9782455 accepts only SIDE styled ribbon cables.Side accetping clips require the ribbon cable to be flat ended (not a T) with two holes in it appox 1/4 inch from the end , so the side clips hook into them to hold the ribbon cable. This is why some of the customers have broken their clips, because you are selling only a redesigned display board and OLD style ribbon connector on pn 9782419CB. We need help from manufacturer or please tell us how to redesign cable?

I have a KitchenAid Superba range model KGRT607HBS9 (I think made by Whirlpool based on how the parts seem to turn up). Some water was spilled on the cooktop. No problem for a day. Then, there was an error. We unplugged it, waited one minute and turned back on. Now, the error is cleared and the display lights up "control lock" but it is completely unresponsive to input (holding down 3/control lock does nothing nor any other button or combo I can find to try). Looking at the circuit board under the controls, it looks like Q6 may have an issue as there is discoloration on the board on this spot. Do I need to replace the whole control board or is it possible that some other cheaper part or magic remedy might fix this thing? Thanks!

I decided to replace the spark units (4) which required the removal of the 3 screws at the bottom of the display. This was straightforward. I did notice that there was a 2 wire connection (P11?) which had removed itself from the control board 9782455. I resoldered the connection back. I noticed that the wires to this connection were solid copper which led to undue torque on the pc board. I plugged the control board back in and reconnected the plastic ribbon connectors from the display panel. Got it all together including the three screws. Everything worked fine for 5 hours. Then the display panel went blank and I heard some tones then nothing. I removed the 3 screws again and then saw the display come alive again. This lasted 12 hours and then went blank again. The tones were heard and there was a symbol showing in the upper right corner which looked like the door lock symbol. It went out too. Should I remove and reinstall the module again or is there a symptom that is recognized here? Seems like a connector problem!
