This washer is taking laundry soap and softener all at the same time when a cycle is started. It doesn't matter whether it's cotton/sturdy, No-Iron wear, or Delicates. I have watched as the washer starts and it doesn't wait for the appropriate time to take the liquid fabric softener. I don't believe it used to do this. Could this be that the "control board" is bad?

Hi. We have a problem with our washer. A few months back, there was a storm that caused a tree limb to fall and ripped our electric meter box and such off of our house. The wire was still live and caused electric surges until we turned off our electricity from the breaker. Now our washer is acting crazy. Sometimes it works just fine, other times it will randomly change settings (for everything: water temp, type of clothes, heavy/light soil, etc...)both while it is running and not running. We keep it unplugged when not in use so we don't have to hear the beeping every time it changes a setting. Also, it sometimes won't change a setting when we push on it and just beeps. Every once in awhile, it will get really crazy and there will be one red light for each setting and then several other lights will just be blinking red. We would like to fix it if we can. Is this caused by the control panel or keypad or something else? Thanks a bunch!
