The timer motor does not operate-low voltage from electronic control board. Timer will not work-heats fine. Could the electronic board be the culprit? The timer motor runs when going straight to 120Vac. Should I change the control board? I do not know.
Answer Hello Robert,
You will need to refer to the wiring diagram on the unit and follow the circuit both ways from the timer motor to see what is in the circuit that could be open. Using a test meter will allow you to eliminate the easy ones to test. The remaining parts, such as electronic boards can only be replaced. This units' information has been hidden by Sears so I was not able to pull the wiring diagram. If your unit has a resistor on the back of the timer it should checked since it could be an issue, (common problem in certain wiring configurations).
