Hey, My dishwasher seem to have no power. There power going into it, but no lights or anything work. Nothing will work. Checked the wires coming into it and there doesn't seem to be any corrosion or anything.

Answer Hello Nate, If the door switch W10275768 checks good, the control board will have to be the issue. I would try running a field service test as outlined in the tech sheet. Press the heated dry button 6 times followed by pressing the Start button within 8 seconds. If it accepts the test, when it completes the fault code will show up by the delay/delay 2 hr LED flashing along with one of the following: Turbidity Sensor - failure - Hi Temp Wash LED/Extra Rinse LED Thermistor - failure - Heavy Wash LED Motor - failure - high current - Normal Wash LED Motor - failure - low current - Light Wash LED Memory Failure - Heated Dry LED If the unit will not go into the field service test and the board is getting 120Vac from the door switch, the board W10218831 is the problem.

Hi There, My Jenn-Air dishwasher stopped working today. At times the LED's light up like 'Normal Wash' and 'delay' button also works at times, but the start button never works. I opened the unit and examined the ribbon cable connecting the control panel and control board and there was some corrosion. I cleaned this with a electronic spray cleaner and reconnected and some other LED's turn on now like 'heated dry', but still start button doesn't have function. Please help me diagnose this and perhaps order the correct part #. thank you. Chris.

Maytag Dishwasher Model # MDBH985AWS Control Brd # W10111823 Reported: CB opened.at some point during DW cycle. Breaker reset. No lights or functionality on DW. Power has been traced to the Control Brd. No obvious problems on either side of the Control Brd. Would appreciate additional trouble shooting suggestions to isolate the problem. Assuming the brd is fried, any suggestions on how to determine the root cause so we don't fry a replacement brd? Thanks!

Answer Hello Snow, If you have power to the control board W10218831 and no power out of it, the board has failed. I would check the heating element and the motor for resistance before re-introducing power to the unit to avoid shooting the new board. I would also check the polarity and the wire nuts in the power connection box to make sure no problems exist there.

If you have access to a multi meter, the technical date sheet is attached to the back of the lower access/kickplate assembly, and you can tetst each button for proper circuitry and resistance when the button is pressed. Having problem with my heating element in my dishwasher. Where it seems to not turn off, just started acting like this yesterday. Unit is 3 yrs old. So last night left the door open to cool off, but today I closed it and minutes later I noticed that it was hot. So I turned off power. Is this a thermostat problem or a control board problem? Answer Hello JTodd. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the electronic control W10218831 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. It sounds like the relay in the control board is stuck in the on position.

I have the above Maytag dishwaser and it is only 4 years old. The buttons lights will not come on. They have died one at a time and the only way it will come on now is if we push the delay button then the autowash button will light up and we can use the machine in 1 hour. However, we are certain this will also go out shortly. Do you think I need a new electronic control board.

Answer Paul, At this point No, it's not likely a "control board" issue. It is more likely to be a control panel/keypad assembly 6-919829. You can test the key pad button circuits with a multimeter and the tech sheet attached to the backside of the lower kickplate panel, to be sure.
