The freezer is blowing cold but there is no cold coming into the fridge side?
Tim for Model Number MSD2351KES
Answer Tim,
You will want to pull the cover off of the control area in the refrigerator compartment and check to see if the damper assembly 12571701 is open. If not then you have a bad damper and it will need to be replaced. You will also want to check for frost build up on the rear wall of the freezer compartment. If there is frost build up then you will need to check the thermostat 67004757 and the heater 67004948 for continuity. If they don't have continuity then you will need to replaced that part. If there is continuity then you will need to replace the defrost control 67004704.
Frig not cooling or freezing. I unpluged it for several days and Repluged to wall outlet and cooled and froze for about 14hrs?????.
Compressor/coolent or ??? MAYTAG SIDE BY SIDE
Javier for Model Number MSB2654HEQ
Answer Javier, It sounds more like a defrost issue, not a compressor or coolant problem. You'll want to force the ADC board into a test mode and check the heater and thermostat for operation. We'll send you some information that should be helpful.
I recently had a compressor replaced on my amana refrigerator. It seems that the freeze temp. control has to be turned down to almost off position to get desired temp for freezer between 5 and 10 degrees. Is freeze temp. control working properly?
Richard R. for Model Number asd2622hrw
Answer Hi Richard. Examine the door gaskets and make sure they are closing well. If there is a wrinkled one allowing room air to be drawn into the unit then you need to use a putty knife to apply hair dryer heat to relax it back into shape. Your question @ the fzr. temp. control is correct. There should be a detent you can feel at the mid point area to shut the desired setting on and off. It is part # 67005335. Make sure you gently bend the thermostat sensor capillary line if needed. Keep it as straight as you can.Thank You.
