The freezer at the coldest setting hovers around 32. When you wiggle the thermostat it kicks on and runs for a while. Damper to Fridge is open but does get very cool.

My Amana side by side Refrigerator thermostat may need replacement. The unit works, but stays on too long, sometimes for more than an hour. This occurs even at the lowest setting. The door seals are all ok, and the compressor seems to work fine. Do you think the thermostat is the problem?

I recently had a compressor replaced on my amana refrigerator. It seems that the freeze temp. control has to be turned down to almost off position to get desired temp for freezer between 5 and 10 degrees. Is freeze temp. control working properly?

I had the freezer full so the coil was building ice. I used a hair dryer to defrost it. After that the frig stopped working all together, all the wires are fine and there's power but the coil is not getting cold at all.
