We have a gas wall oven that is not getting up to temp. I replaced the temp. sensor, & the ignitor, still no luck. If you enter 450 it only reaches 250 for ex. someone suggested I need a control board pn ap4097861 can you help?
Test for 3.2-3.6 amps at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. If the voltage is there, you have a bad safety valve. If the voltage is low, you have a weak igniter and the igniter will need to be replaced. If there is no amp draw and then the control board would most likely be the cause. Also check to make sure that the oven safety valve is not opening. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
I had to shut the power off for some home repairs. When I turned the breaker back on, the clock is the only display that is showing citing power loss. When I enter other options (cook, setup, etc.,) absolutely nothing happens. No beeping, no movement, it's completely dead. Please help.
You will want to pull the control panel off the unit and disconnect the ribbon harness from the control board. Once disconnected you will check the ribbon harness and clean if necessary using contact cleaner or rubbing alcohol. Reseat the connection and make sure that it is a firm connection. If the problem still persists then you will want to replace the control panel W10206063.
