I have a Jenn Air oven model number jes9750aab. It is currently showing an f1-7 code. All the buttons on the control panel appear to be working, but it just beeps and flashes the code. Would I need to replace the control panel #74005745 or the board #74007225. Thanks!
Answer Hello Greg,
Fault code F1-7 indicates that the membrane is disconnected. I would clean the ribbon cable connections before ordering parts. Rub the electrical traces on the ribbon cable with a dry eraser toward the end of the cable only, (this is to prevent damage to the ribbon cable). If this corrects the issue, no part was needed. If not, replace the control board 74007225 for series 17 and lower OR 74009317 for series 18 and higher.
We cooked went to shut down oven the cancel button does nothing do you think its the control board or the circuit board we live on the ocean so we have salt issues.
You would want to pull the control panel off and check for corrosion on the ribbon harness that goes from control panel 74005745 to the clock assembly. If there is corrosion you will want to clean with an electronic cleaner or rubbing alcohol. Plug back in and try unit. If still not working then you would need a new control panel.
