Whirlpool Double Oven intermittently displays error code E6 F2 OR goes completely blank and quits working. Cycling power sometimes restores function temporarily but the error code or blank screen always comes back. When blank, the individual buttons beep when depressed. Oven light still functional. I attempted to unplug and reconnect the ribbon cable which did not help. Based on other posts, the problem is the control board or the control panel. Is there any way to tell which one? I would like to get this fixed ASAP.

My Whirlpool self-cleaning oven won't turn on despite having full power at 240 volts. The oven shows no display and no error codes. I first checked the thermal fuse and found continuity. I then checked the resistances for the temperature control, bake element and broil element, all of which were found to be within specifications. I figured it must be the control board so I ordered one and replaced it. Upon powering up, I still have no indications and the oven won't turn on. Could it be that the touch pad is bad instead of the control board electronics? Thanks for your help.
