We replaced the front panel with another one just like the one we had. It is giving us the F2-EO code. We cannot get the ribbon cable to stay connected.
Answer Hello Marty, That is why you are getting the "F2-E0" code. It indicates the ribbon cable is not connected properly. Take a good look at the connector and see if you need to raise a tab before inserting the ribbon. Some you just insert the cable and some have a tab you raise, then insert the ribbon and close the tab. I'm not exactly sure which one yours is but I hope this helps. Thanks!
Everything seems to be working with the oven except the off button will not turn off the oven. Does it need the membrane panel or the circuit board?
Answer Hello Steve,
Turn off the power to the unit and open the control panel. Remove the ribbon cable and, using the eraser on a pencil and going in the same direction as the traces run, use the eraser to clean the connections. Reinstall the ribbon cable and the control panel. Turn the power back on and turn the unit on. Now try the off button. If it works, you just cured the issue. If not, you will need to replace the relay board 8302967 as there is probably a relay stuck and the button probably works but cannot release the stuck relay.
