Whrere do I get instructions on replacing the control panel assy?

Answer Hi Gretchen. Open the bottom door. There are side (black) flat heat, phillips screws that hold the trim pieces on. Removing the side/bottom trim pieces will give access to the control panel bottom, left and right screws. There are also hidden sunk in screws at the top of the panel. remove theese, and it will allow the panel to release. Carefully release the ribbon cable and insure it is reinstalled tight and not pinched. This panel is part # 8300436. Thank you.

Thanks for the help earlier on the F2 E6 error. We don't have a cancel button on our keypad - only upper/lower oven off. Any thoughts?

Answer Hello Tracy. Cancel is the off button on alot of keypads. According to the code, you will need to replace the keypad. Hope this helps.

Our oven suddenly turns off and then has the F2 E6 error. We've cleaned the ribbon and checked the fuse. Both seem to be OK. We've also used air to blow out all the dust, etc. We'll get the oven to work for a few minutes and then it turns itself off again. After showing F2 E6 it will go blank. The next morning the time will show again, but the oven will only work for a short time. When it's blank we can hear beeps as we push different buttons. Do you know which part to replace? Thanks for your help!

Answer Hello Tracy! The F2 E6 failure code indicates the cancel key drive line is open. Check the keypad connector for firm connection (the keypad connects to the control board). Press cancel. If the error code returns after 60 seconds, replace the keypad. Your part number is 8300436. Thanks!

I just replaced the Whirlpool oven control board to fix the blank display problem. Now the display is back but I got F2 E1 error. I checked the ribbon cable connection and it looked ok (I noticed the first 2 slots are empty on the ribbon). I tried it several times and still get the F2 E1 code. Should I replace with this keypad? Answer Hello Debbie. If the ribbon cable is good and installed properly, then you will need to replace 8300436. This is the white control panel. Hope this helps.

I was told the new control Panel board has 16 slots for the ribbon cable. I was told this would work as long as I set the ribbon cable starting with #1. Well this does not work. Do you know about this problem or do you sell the old style 14 slot ribbon cable board. Thanks, Jay Miller

Answer Hi, the correct control panel for the model number provided (RBD305PDB14) is part number 8300435. The ribbon cable for this model will have 16 slots but only 14 slots will have a wire running to it. This will be due to extra features your unit does not have. You might of installed the empty slots into #1 slot. Therefore getting no response from the board. Try turning the cable and installing it the other way you originally tried. Hope this helps!
