After power surge, my oven is locked with an error message E1 FI in that order. Whirlpool has no detail of this error "in this order", I was told. I believe I need to change the Control Panel but do not want to order the wrong part. Are you familiar with this code? Thank you.

E1 F2 is on the display. It comes back a few seconds after pressing the off/cancel button. The buttons seem to all work though. What, if anything so I need to replace?

My Whirlpool oven is displaying a code E6 F2 ( Cancel key drive line open ). I am of the understanding that this indicates the need to replace the Control Board. Upon attempting I find that the Control Panel Assembly is connected to the board by a strip or membrane switch? Like a strip of paper with wire embedded. My question is does this strip pull out of the control board? Or am I completely off track here and require both elements. Your help is appreciated.
