You told me I have to replace control panel assy. Is replacement a do it yourself? Do you have pictures?
Answer Hello Pat. No, you do not need to replace the control panel, you will need to replace the clock assembly W10438750. We do not have pictures available, but these are not hard to replace. Disconnect the power and open the doors. Remove the side trims off the oven and the two screws on the bottom sides of the control panel. Once removed, you will lift the control panel up and off of the oven. Now you can access and replace the clock. Some models are easier if you pull the oven out about 3" before removing the control panel.
The clock is very, very dim. Temperatures are not bright enough to see.
Answer Hello Pat,
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the clock is in full control of the display and unless you can get it rebuilt, the only fix for this issue is the clock replacement W10438750.
