I am trying to remove part number AP3865904. I have removed the screws from the trim. there seems to be something holding the assembly in place but no visible screws. What am i missing?
Answer Hello Matt,
This part is held down by the screws so the part will not slide up and fall off. After removing the two screw on the inside bottom, try sliding the part straight up. This will "unhook" the part from the frame of the unit. Be sure to turn the power off first since there is 240Vac behind this part.
How do I remove the old panel ?
Answer Hi. Remove power. Remove the upper door. Remove the side trim. Remove the 2 outer panel (lower) trim screws. Lift up on the panel part # 8302848 and carefully protect it with a towel. Touch the units bare metal a few times to remove all body static. Then mark all wire connections down to replace them back exactly where thy were. Remove the inner panel and replace the panel in question. Thank you.
