My Freezer is fine at 10°F but the fresh food temperature at the coldest setting stays at 41°F. Whatever the setting it's 41°F. All seems ok in the back. Do you think it's the thermostat?

I have an Amana refrigerator, ATB2135HR. The freezer temperature only gets to 28 degrees even though temperature control is all the way to 9 (coldest setting). The coils are NOT frozen and the defrost cycle appears to be okay. How do I test the temperature control to know if I need part AP4068700? Thanks, ~Art

Refrigerator won't stop running. I opened up the back, but did not find ice on the coils, only a chunk of ice inside the water intake line, which in reality shouldn't have ice inside of it, since it's not hooked up for ice manufacture. There is a lot of water in the drain pan at the bottom of the unit, The unit cools the fresh food area, as well as cools the freezer, but a small build up of ice is present in the freezer, which then will melt, and also inside the fridge a certain amount of water condensation collects on the inside of containers and also on the milk. What's going on here?

Latest Questions

Removed a light that had gone out and the bulb broke, the filaments met and shorted. A new bulb was put in the socket and it won't light, neither socket in the refrigerator lights. One of the sockets has a scorch mark, and I believe the reflector piece behind the light also made contact as the entire assemble fell out (socket, reflector and clip). What do I need to replace to get both lights working again. Thank you in advance.

My Maytag refrigerator runs all the time, but will only cool the freezer to approximately 32 degrees and the rest of the refrigerator at approximately 50 degrees. A repair man told me he replaced the defrost timer, but he also told me that he added R134a. My refrigerator does not have a freon service port! Nothing freezes up and there are no blockages or dirt on the coils. The fans run. Could this be the temperature control? I bought the control from this source, but have not installed it. When installing should the control knob be rotated fully clockwise, fully counter-clockwise, or to some other position. Should I look elsewhere for the problem? Thank you. I already tried a service man and had the experience described above. This refrigerator is like new and it would be a shame to send it to the dump.
