I need black ceran replacement glass.
Answer Hello M. The part you are needing 04100257 has been permanently discontinued by the manufacturer and we don't know of any source or replacement for the part.
I have a KitchenAid stove model KESC307HWW8. The glass broke and I would like to replace it, but I am not sure which one to buy. Can you please help me identify the part and send me instructions for replacing it? Are there any options for different colored glass? Black, for example? Thanks!
Answer Hello Mike! Yes, the cooktop comes in black as part number 8190780. Here is the instructions from the manufacturer. Hope they help! 1. Unplug range or disconnect power. 2. Remove the control panel from its' sub-chassis and rotate it forward onto the cooktop glass. 3. Remove the five screws and flat washer from the control panel sub-chassis. 4. Move the control panel back into place over the chassis, then lift the front of the cooktop assembly, and prop it up with a piece of board so that you can access the components.
