How can I be sure the top is correct? Is the information I provided helpful?
Answer Hello Twilla,
The model number is normally all we need to pull the information, (series numbers, first two digits of the serial number, are sometimes needed but not in this case). The biscuit color cooktop 9756788BT has been discontinued by the manufacturer and no satisfactory substitutions have been provided. The cooktop you were looking at W10173297 is white. This is the only difference in the original and this one. If it has been enameled in biscuit, it would be the exact replacement part.
WHAT will happen if you use cook top after its cracked?
Answer Hello Ralph. The unit can cause whole cooktop to break if the cooktop is cracked.
Is there special cookwear for cook top stove?
Answer Hello Viola! Here is the information per the "Cookware" section of the owners manual. Hope this helps. Thanks.
IMPORTANT: Do not leave empty cookware on a hot surface cooking area, element or surface burner.
Ideal cookware should have a flat bottom, straight sides and a well-fitting lid, and the material should be of medium-to-heavy thickness.
Rough finishes may scratch the cooktop. Aluminum and copper may be used as a core or base in cookware. However, when used as a base they can leave permanent marks on the cooktop or grates.
Cookware material is a factor in how quickly and evenly heat is transferred, which affects cooking results.
A nonstick finish has the same characteristics as its base material. For example, aluminum cookware with a nonstick finish will take on the properties of aluminum.
Cookware with nonstick surfaces should not be used under the broiler.
