I recently cracked the glass where the burner is. Will this be able to replace that?
Answer Hello Jordan,
If this is the correct part by the model number on your units' I.D. tag, it will replace the glass perfectly.
I just order this cooktop to replace one that was broken. What are my first installation steps?
Answer Ralph, You'll want to gat a couple of 1X2's or 2X4's the width of your counter top. Remove power to the cooktop, and disconnect the vent pipe from the blower plenum. You'll need to push the cooktop up from underneath, and slip the wood supports under the bottom of the cooktop, to hold it over the opening. Once you remove the knobs, grille cover, etc. you can remove the screws holding the glass and support frame from the burner box. Just be careful of the sharp edges.
