Answer Hello Bob, The coupling you are referring to is directly behind the ice bin. When you remove the ice bin, it is bolted onto the auger motor and it drives the auger in the ice bin for the ice dispense. It normally has left handed threads so you have to turn it clockwise to get it loosened. I usually use a crescent wrench and a small hammer to break it loose. Hook the wrench into the coupling and rap it with the hammer to "break" it loose from the impact from the hammer.
