My water dispenser which is located inside my refrigerator is leaking. My ice maker doesn't make ice. The line keeps freezing up.
Answer Hello Rob,
You will need to set the fresh food compartment to a setting colder to increase air circulation. This will prevent the water reservoir from freezing and rupturing. The water reservoir 12002023 will need to be replaced. As far as the icemaker goes, you will need to replace the water valve assembly 12002193 to correct this issue. This model has two water valves and since the manufacturer suggests to replace both at the same time, you will also need to order part number 12544002.
I ordered a cover but it needs the part that the tube feeds into, unfortunately that part was accidentally cut off and I need to feed the tube back in. Cannot use the current one as the original part of the hose was glued into that part. Is it possible to get just that part? If so how do I order it.
Answer AZ Mom, No, unfortunately the "spout/guide" is not available as a separate part. You will need to order a replacement Guide, Water Line
67002743 to recieve the "spout/guide" and replace the assembly. It won't be too difficult, the water tube is routed through a channel inside the liner, and attaches to the water tank on the back wall of the refrigerator compartment.
AP4366606 snaps into another part that is riveted into the lining of the refrigerator wall. Can I purchase this other part? I'm considering putting a secondary water dispenser on the outside left side of my refrigerator (don't laugh) and that part would make installation cleaner. Thanks.
Answer Brian, There are several more parts involved, tubing, switch and wiring. (22 thru 32) plus a couple of 1/4 inch tube couplers, and will need to mount a box on the outside wall, or put a hole in the side of the fridge to mount the assembly and parts and thens seal everything so you don't create a void and have a condensation or loss of cooling issue. It's a great idea, You may want to post a "How To" and results when you're done. Good Luck and Thanks
