How do I remove the dispenser cover on a Whirlpool refrigerator?
Answer Hello Ray,
Be full aware that there is 120Vac behind this board and it can injure or kill you so it is strongly advised to unplug the unit or turn off the breaker before getting started. Remove the drain pan, (overflow grill), and pull down and out on the bottom of the dispenser cover. It should pop off and lift up to unhook the top. Be careful for the wiring attached. I usually recommend that, if you have a picture phone, to take a picture so you can hook it back up correctly after servicing.
To re-install, after re-connecting the wires, simply hook the dispenser cover back on at the top and "snap" the assembly back into place by bumping with the heel of your hand.
