Answer Hello Eduardo. The cover plate 4375338 is used in the microwaving of the food in the unit. If it is bad, it will prevent the unit from working properly. Hope this helps.

Answer Hello Mike. Over time the covers 4375338 can get stuff on them and it will burn holes in them. Also, they just fail sometimes as well. You will need to replace the cover and make sure the magnetron is good in the unit. Hope this helps.
