My Maytag washer will complete the wash and spin cycle, but will not fill with rinse water. I can try any of the rinse cycles, but it will not fill with rinse water. I fill it on the wash cycle and then move the knob to rinse and it will complete the rinse cycle. What do you think is wrong? Thanks

I have a Whirlpool washer (LXR7244PQ0). When I start my wash cycle on "regular wash", the basket fills with water and won't move beyond that point. When I try to manually turn the knob to spin, nothing happens. I manually drained the water out, once the water was out, the machine worked when I turned it to "regular wash" mode again but still will not go further than filling the basket with water. What do I need to repair it? Thank you.

I have a Maytag top load washer, Model # mvwc6esww1. The problem is that when the Extra Rinse switch is set to Off, once the normal cycle finishes spinning and goes to Off, it then starts filling up as if it was doing an Extra Rinse. However, it doesn't spin the clothes dry. While experimenting, I set the Extra Rinse switch to On and it successfully filled the Extra Rinse and spun the clothes dry. So the problem is when the switch is set to Off, the clothes are wet when it finally turns off. Please help

After every cycle that has extra rinse, (heavyduty, normal duty), water dumps back into tub the when the switch is in the off position. The machine is just over a year old so that makes the warranty useless to me. In the parts diagram it shows that extra rinse switch can that be the problem? Can you help me please? Thank you, Rick
