To install the cycling thermostat do you have to pull the pump? Where can i get a wiring dia.?

Answer Hello, You will have to remove the motor-pump assembly W10428167 to change part 675740. You can look behind the toe panel for the wiring diagram for this model. Hope this helps.

Heater element prong on exterior back right of dishwasher and corresponding white with brown stripe wire (tip of wire) as well as Nut-Heater are fried. Prong is crusted with burnt corroded matter, Nut-Heater is partially melted with brown matter, and tip of wire is completely melted off. Are you aware of any recalls on this model? The white with brown stripe wire appears to be part of the wiring harness that routes from back of washer up under the front panel to control box. How difficult is it to replace wiring harness? Is total estimated cost of $120 for heater element, nut-heater, and wiring harness main worth repairing?

Answer Hi Roger. The heating element is part # W10134009. 2-rubber washers needed (sold separately) is part # W10134009. The wire nuts are part # 8268548. Also need 2. The hi-limit thermostat is part # 661566. The fuse is part #8193762. The control board is part # 8564547. You really need to verify the recall from Whirlpool Customer Service # 1-800-253-1301. The wire that connects to one of the switches in assem. ap3103581, using the connecter supplied with this assem, gets so hot it melts the insulation and eventually breaks. this causes the washer to stop. I first assumed a poor connection and replaced wire, occurred again. Could this be the fault of the cycling thermostat ap3115114?
