Heater element prong on exterior back right of dishwasher and corresponding white with brown stripe wire (tip of wire) as well as Nut-Heater are fried. Prong is crusted with burnt corroded matter, Nut-Heater is partially melted with brown matter, and tip of wire is completely melted off. Are you aware of any recalls on this model? The white with brown stripe wire appears to be part of the wiring harness that routes from back of washer up under the front panel to control box. How difficult is it to replace wiring harness? Is total estimated cost of $120 for heater element, nut-heater, and wiring harness main worth repairing?

The wire that connects to one of the switches in assem. ap3103581, using the connecter supplied with this assem, gets so hot it melts the insulation and eventually breaks. this causes the washer to stop. I first assumed a poor connection and replaced wire, occurred again. Could this be the fault of the cycling thermostat ap3115114?
