Meat is freezing in my meat drawer and there is a slide control next to it. The slide is stuck in a colder position and I can't get it to move. I have tried squirting hot water in the gap with no luck. Is there a deflector or something else that may be keeping it from moving? What else can I do to keep meat from freezing?

Answer Wendell. The escutcheon and slide control can be removed, and checked, repaired or replaced 2194744,2182757 just carefully unsnap the assembly from the wall. You also need to check and make sure the freezer temperature is not too cold(reccomendation is 3 to 5 dgrs.). Make sure there are no articles hanging over the sides, bacl or front of all the shelves, or large items on the left side of the top shelf, in front of the damper assemblr, this would cause air directed down the back or side wall, causinmg the meat drawer to cool excessively.
