The coils in freezer frosting up. The timer seems to rotate ok. The heater is not heating. Possibly a bad thermostat?

Fridge warm, freezer cold. After removing rear panel inside the freezer the freezer coils and airway path were frosted up. I defrosted, replaced panel, & switched on, everything back to normal, good fridge & freezer temp. After one week the same thing occured.......warm fridge, cold freezer. What do you think this could be caused by? Defrost Thermostat? Defrost timer? Heater? Thanks. Joey

My Amana sided by side stopped cooling both sides.I read some articles on line, looked at some of the answers that were given. I pulled the thermostat out and found both wires off the stat can't believe they would vibrate off.it tripped the GFI.possible one of those wires went to ground and caused it to trip not sure. It is cooling now, will see if it's still working in the am. I think the defrost timer is what caused the GFI to trip and the wires came off when I remove it from the housing. Any ideas. Thank you.
