Answer Hello Stewart. Yes, this is the correct handle and latch assembly for a white dishwasher. You will need to disconnect the power coming to the unit. Then remove the screws holding the inner door panel in place. Lift the inner door panel and remove the wires going to the latch assembly. Install the wires on the new latch assembly and reinstall in reverse order. Hope this helps.

Answer Hello Tom. Lift upward on the door where the handle is located and jerk hard to open it. You can break something doing this, but it is the only way to open and replace the latch assembly W10130694.

Answer Pam, There are a few things to check, before you replace the latch and handlle. Make sure the dishwasher is level and secured to the cabinet properly. Check the door latch assembly 99001355 that's located in the top center of the tub, and it's adjustable, by loosening and sllding the assembly in or out, Based on the model number you supplied, if you do need the latch and handle, you will need to order: 99002254 and 99002084
