I have a door handle problem, mechanical in nature, not the switch mechanism. The little plastic finger lift handle has broken where one of the stainless steel pins attach thus it is held in place on one side only. I erroneously ordered a latch assembly which is the switch before I opened the door panel up to discover I didn't need the switch but only the little lift handle. Where do I order the handle? What is part number? Thank you!

Answer Hello Randy, The handle used to be available alone, but it now crosses to the latch assembly W10130697 which includes the handle. I'm sorry but the handle isn't available by itself any more.

When putting a new door latch on Amana dishwasher does it matter which side you put the plugs? One set of wires are black and one set is white. Took it apart a year ago, planned to junk it, now bought new latch and dont know what side should be black and what side should be white. HELP PLEASE

Answer Bob, As long as the same colored wires are on the same switch, you'll be fine. We'll send you a diagram that should be more helpful

In replacing handle part W10130699 I have forgotten how the wires go. It has been a year and I decided to fix the dishwasher. There are 2 white wires and 2 black wires that each go into a plug. What side do the white wires go and what side do the black go?

Answer Hello Bob, The two white wires go to one switch and the two black wires go to the other. It doesn't matter which side they go in as long as the two white and two black are not crossed. If you cross them, you will trip a breaker and burn some connectors off of the wiring harness, since these are hot and neutral.

Answer Hello Marilyn. If you lift upward on the door latch assembly and pull outward with alot of pressure, the door should come open and you can replace the latch assembly W10130699. Hope this helps.
